I have noticed there is no help file or documentation with the installation. Is there anything available on how to use the wizard? Is there any 3rd party on how to properly modify configuration of the XML?

When selecting a tab, that doesn't have an external file referenced, just check the checkbox next to "external file" and give it a proper name. Then all content should be moved to this file.

Thanks for updating the MDT wizard editor, looks great. Do you have any documentation on the convert from 2010 to 2012 function? I have opened the DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml file but don’t see a way to export them into the individual files for 2012.

Just uploaded the zipped files. Extract them into a folder of your choice and run exe file.

This is the first public Beta version of the new MDT Wizard Studio. It's based on the original source code from MDT Wizard Editor and has been updated to support MDT 2012/MDT 2012 Update 1. Also some additional features have been added, but the look&feel stayed more or less the same.

Click on preview will cause an unhandled exception if no wizard definition file has been selected before.

Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Wizard Studio
The Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MTD) Wizard Studio is an updated and extended version of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Wizard Editor, originally written by Michael Niehaus.

It is a simple .NET 2.0 application designed to assist with the process of editing the wizard XML manifest files used by the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. While it does not presently help much with the authoring of each wizard pane's content, it does simplify the more tedious parts of editing the XML manifest and the HTML embedded within each wizard pane.

Features available in the current beta release:

Full support for MDT 2012 Update 1
Open wizard file
Create new wizard file
Add and remove panes
Reorder panes
Rename panes
Import panes including referenced files from different wizard file
convert MDT 2010 panes into MDT 2012 format
Simple syntax highlighting for VBScript and HTML
Edit referenced scripts directly in the wizard
Added option to hide the navigation bar
Wizard is resizable

Testing

Full Support for MDT 2012 Update 1
Allows to add and/or edit MDT properties to simulate the environment in which it would normally be used
Highlights the changes on the MDT properties after the wizard has finished

This version is compatible with MDT 2012 Update 1 and MDT 2012. It will however currently produce files that can't be read by MDT 2010. If you need to edit wizard files for MDT 2010, please use the original MDT Wizard Editor

If you find any issues/problems with the Wizard Studio or have suggestions on what features must be added to it in future versions, please feel free and share your feedback.
